Artificial intelligence is the undisputed protagonist of the latest edition of the Mobile World Congress (MWC). A fair that demonstrates once again that the technology industry is focused on thinking about what its future will be like in 2030...or beyond.
"And that clearly connects with the idea that there is once again a digital divide," warns business school professor Pablo Foncillas.
In this sense, he argues that AI is entering companies "at two speeds": on the one hand, large corporations are dedicating "enormous resources" to exploring this new technology with the aim of transforming themselves, on the other, there are companies more modest "that have to settle" with modifying a product or process.
Foncillas also predicts that there will not be a single AI for the entire world, but that it will be an artificial intelligence adapted to specific needs in companies and industries and applied to our devices.
