Marc Murtra gains executive powers at Indra. The increase in military spending in this new golden age of the defense industry has led the group's board of directors to attribute new functions to its president. Murtra will be in charge of communicating with governments, both Spanish and other countries, regarding the new roadmap of internationalizing his business, an objective reflected in his strategic plan.
Murtra's new role at Indra has been unanimously approved at the board of directors meeting held today. Specifically, the president assumes "executive functions at the corporate and institutional level." These tasks, which were already being carried out by Murtra although he did not have executive powers until now, will be carried out in coordination with the CEO, José Vicente de los Mozos, who maintains the same functions as head of the business area.
Indra highlighted today that Murtra's new functions seek the opening of the industrial group "in the geographies in which Indra does not currently have a presence, as well as dialogue with public administrations, governments and international organizations, given the current geopolitical context."
In addition to relations with administrations, key at a time when Indra is seeking million-dollar contracts abroad, the company's legal department and institutional relations department will also depend on Murtra.

For his part, José Vicente de los Mozos, assured that "after a year at Indra, and after an in-depth analysis of the company, and with the aim of focusing all my efforts on the implementation of the Leading the Future Strategic Plan, the president Murtra and I have proposed reinforcing its functions at the corporate level.”
