Muriqi rescata 'in extremis' al Mallorca en Valladolid

Real Valladolid and RCD Mallorca tied at three goals in a very competitive match, which the locals began to dominate, thanks to Kike's goal in the first half, which Mallorca came from behind, and which the local team came back to overcome, thanks to the changes introduced by Pezzolano.

There was expectation among the fans, before the debut of Paulo Pezzolano in charge of the white and purple bench. Everyone expected more intensity from the players than they had shown against Athletic Club and Real Madrid. But that intensity did not appear...

Before, finally, a visiting defensive line of five players, with Maffeo, Hadzikadunic, Valjent, Raíllo and Costa, the Valladolid saw their proposals closed, although the full-backs, both Fresneda and Lucas Rosa, were active in the early stages of the match .

But it was the only thing that could be considered "dangerous" when the locals had the ball. In fact, the real danger came from the hand of Amath, who on his first arrival in the Valladolid area missed his shot, and he went wide of the goal and, in the second, found Masip, who prevented the Mallorcan's first goal.

The Real Valladolid goalkeeper would also be the protagonist in another of Amath's good deeds, since he took the ball from his feet, stopping his arrival in the small area alone, so he could have scored at will.

What is soccer. With Mallorca with more offensive bite, creating danger with the ball, Real Valladolid pulled off a good combinative move, started by Roque Mesa and which, after a pass from Lucas Rosa, ended up in the boots of Kike Pérez, who hit a great shot, to inaugurate the scoreboard for José Zorrilla.

That gave impetus to the blanquivioletas, who began to believe more in their possibilities. And although the Balearic team sought an equalizer before the break, it came with the local advantage, thanks to that goal by Kike Pérez's squad.

One of the qualities displayed by the vermilion players was power in individual duels. That aspect was maintained after the resumption, although later he found no continuity, nor clarity of ideas, when it came to asserting that strength.

In fact, the first opportunity was given to Plano, but his shot was foreseen by Rajkovic and he was able to deflect it. And with no time to digest that mistake, Muriqi took advantage of Maffeo's cross to finish off and add another goal to his private box -eleven-, thus tying the game.

He did justice with that goal, since Aguirre's men had been more incisive in attack. Not only was it an injection for the Mallorcan team, but it provided more security, which they endorsed with another goal, after a rebound following the free kick taken by Lee Kang In, which Morlanes hooked to surprise Masip.

The Balearic team came back, thus, with little obstacle in the rival, the adverse marker at half-time. And Pezzolano moved the bench, in search of revulsives. He found them immediately, since two of the players who entered the field participated in the play that led to the local tie.

Iván Sánchez rescued a ball that was going to be lost along the baseline to end up finding Amallah, who managed to score with a powerful shot, without Rajkovic being able to do anything to prevent it.

From that moment, Real Valladolid began a siege of the opposite area. He had possession of the ball and wanted to take advantage of it, against a Mallorca that was overwhelmed by that blanquivioleta push, although Muniqi continued to demonstrate how dangerous he was every time he touched the ball. Masip took it upon himself to prevent the same.

But there was no way to stop the intensity imposed by the local team, which added more firewood with the entry of Kenedy and Monchu, who were the architects of Real Valladolid's third goal, with Kenedy's cross and the impressive header shot. de Monchu, who raised the fans from their seats.

The match was not over. And everything counts between two teams fighting for victory. In this case, Larin's hand inside the area led to a penalty, which the referee signaled after consulting with the VAR, who was in charge of transforming Muriqi to establish the final 3-3, since the five minutes of extension were not exhausted.
