The Department of Education must publish the definitive allocation of places to the interim teachers of the Valencian Community, a step that was expected for this Monday. It is the latest episode in a process that has been controversial since last August 14 when Education assumed errors in the awarding of teaching positions due, as he explained, to computer failures that determined an erroneous result in the publication of "some awards".
The errors were repeated in a subsequent modification, for which reason the CCOO PV union warned on Saturday that the last correction of the allocation of teaching positions by the Ministry of Education continued to have errors and assured that the previous testing in the publication announced by José Antonio Rovira's department had not improved the situation.
Among the teachers they await the final list and describe the situation as desperate, two weeks before the start of the school year. In teacher groups and chats, mistakes and lateness are cause for joke. Late yesterday, the Ministry directed by José Antonio Rovira explained that the technical teams were still working. "The computer system, in addition to being obsolete, was not planned or tested by the previous team, so there is data -body changes from PT to PS- that it does not recognize and that is the problem," they argued from the department.
However, the situation is causing a crossover of accusations between the political formations that is beginning to tense the environment in the middle of the information desert. And it is that the Ministry of Education justified the errors from the outset in the "poor planning of the team of the previous Ministry, since the programming was not fulfilled, nor was it executed, nor was the new team of the Ministry of Education informed situation in which the process was".
The general director of Teaching Staff of the Ministry of Education, Sonia Sancho, spoke of "malpractice" by the previous team, a criticism that Compromís has responded harshly, calling for its resignation. Compromís, which managed this area in the Botànic government, has demanded that President Carlos Mazon "immediately remove" Sancho from office "with respect to the 21,000 teachers affected by the collapse in the adjudication process."
For its part, the CCOO-PV union points out that "the inheritance excuses are an attempt to justify that is not convincing and that does not solve the real problem that affects teaching staff pending a place to start the course normally."
Likewise, the spokesman for Education of the PSPV-PSOE in Les Corts Valencianes, José Luis Lorenz, stressed yesterday that "thousands of teachers still do not know their fate" for the next course in public educational centers and considered that the "disaster" in the Ministry of Education "puts the start of the school year at risk" 2023-2024. For this reason, he requests the appearance in Les Corts of the Minister of Education: "The Minister says that there are too many teachers when the only one left is Rovira himself and his Director of Teaching Staff."
