Mbappé must decide on his contract at PSG before June 30

Kylian Mbappé dazzled this Sunday with two goals in PSG's triumph against Olympique de Marseille (0-3) that put the Parisians on track for the League title, but beyond his great performance, Bondy's was in the news again this Monday for your future. According to L'Équipe, the forward must decide before June 30 if he extends his contract until 2025.

A little less than a year ago, PSG announced with great fanfare the renewal of its star for three years. However, the fine print of the contract indicates that the last season, 2024-25, is optional, as reported by the French newspaper. Mbappé has time until the end of this season to decide if he is free in 2024 or 2025.

In case you consider that your stage in Paris should end in 2024, next summer will be the last where PSG will be able to get money for its star in a hypothetical transfer. If so, the rumors about his future will once again point to Real Madrid, which was close to taking over the services of Mbappé before his renewal with the Parisians.

The white team came to have a verbal agreement with Mbappé last year, a few months before his previous contract with the Parisian entity expired, on June 30, 2022. But the striker finally declined the Madrid proposal given the attractive sporting and economic offer from PSG, who paid him a transfer bonus of 100 million and offered him a net salary of 50 million per season.

One of Mbappé's great challenges is to win the first Champions League in PSG history. The French champion lost in the first leg of the round of 16 against Bayern Munich (0-1) and will have to come back in Bavaria to stay alive this season in Europe's top competition. Another of the forward's great incentives is the celebration of the Olympic Games in Paris in the summer of 2024.

In the individual section, Mbappé is having a great season. He has 29 goals and seven assists in 29 games. He was also the top scorer at the World Cup in Qatar, where France lost the final against Argentina on penalties. This good performance has led him to be nominated for The Best award together with his teammate Leo Messi, a great favorite to win the award this Monday.
