The City Council of l'Hospitalet de Llobregat has made public this Tuesday the new distribution of the departments of the municipal government led by the mayoress Núria Marín, who this time has started the mandate without an absolute majority. The portfolio has eight executive areas.

As explained by the Consistory of the second city of Catalonia in a statement, Marín has designed the new local executive to "give answers to the needs of citizens and prioritizing security and maintenance of public space."

Núria Marín has said that the new portfolio is "the embodiment of the political will to make this mandate that we started a collective ambition that should lead us towards a more territorially balanced city, greener, more social, more equipped and more safe". The structure consists of eight areas.

Fran Belver will continue as first deputy mayor and will preside over the Treasury and Urbanism area. This section includes the Department of Investments, Housing and Comprehensive Plans, which will be in the hands of Rafael Gómez Viñas. Belver is also the government spokesman again.

The experienced councilor Jesús Husillos will be in charge of the Security, Mobility and Human Resources area. One of his challenges will be to stabilize the situation in the Police Department of l'Hospitalet de Llobregat.

David Quirós will be in charge of the People Services area, with areas that will provide him with significant visibility such as innovation and culture. Maite Revilla will be the mayor of Sports.

Laura García assumes Social Rights, José Antonio Alcaide will be in charge of Economic Promotion, Commerce and Tourism, David Gómez will lead Maintenance and Services and Rocío Ramírez ICT and Citizenship Relations.
