Madrid will award 274 homes for rent in Alcorcón at prices 40% lower than the market

The Community of Madrid will open this Thursday, October 19, the registration process to access one of the first 274 homes of the Plan Vive, which will be located in the town of Alcorcón, and whose delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of next year 2024.

"We are very excited about the initiative of the government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso and its commitment to Alcorcón as these are the first Plan Vive homes to be delivered, these being the only public rental solution available in the municipality," he said. highlighted the spokesperson for the local PP, Roberto Marín.

Marín has insisted that "it is essential to provide affordable housing solutions to residents" and that "this program represents a significant step in that direction", which is why they "fully support this effort by the Community of Madrid to make Alcorcón a place better to live in."

The Ministry of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure already announced a few weeks ago that the completion of these first homes intended for affordable rental, belonging to Lot 3 of the Vive Madrid Plan, was imminent, so the real estate developer will open the deadline tomorrow to receive the first requests.

These are two developments with a total of 274 publicly promoted and leased homes "with a rent 40% lower than the market price, intended primarily for young people and low-income families and built on land owned by the Community of Madrid".

Both developments are located in the Ensanche Sur de Alcorcón, a consolidated area that has all kinds of services, connected to the rest of the municipality through urban bus line 2 and where residents can enjoy green areas in their surroundings, such as the Pinar de Santo Domingo and Darwin Park.

Specifically, those interested will be able to opt for a home with 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms, all with a garage and storage room. In addition, 4% of the homes in these developments are adapted for people with reduced mobility.

All homes have a terrace and the residential complex has a concierge service 10 hours a day (every day of the year), as well as complementary services such as a swimming pool with solarium, gym, multi-sports court and garden with a children's play area.

Interested neighbors will be able to request them from 7:00 a.m. this Thursday through the website www.convivemadridalquila.com, which will be the only channel to send applications.

It is expected that during the first half of 2024, the construction of 1,900 Plan Vive homes will be completed out of the total of 6,500 new affordable rental homes included in this Plan in 12 municipalities in the region.

Specifically, the new developments are being developed, in addition to Alcorcón, in Alcalá de Henares, Colmenar Viejo, Getafe, Madrid, Móstoles, San Sebastián de los Reyes, Torrelodones, Torrejón de Ardoz, Tres Cantos, Boadilla del Monte and Pinto.
