Life sentence for poacher who killed two policemen in Germany

German justice has sentenced a 39-year-old man to life imprisonment this Wednesday for the murder of two policemen in Kusel, in the south of the Bavarian country. The individual was engaged in poaching, had up to 22 killed animals in his vehicle, and when the agents stopped him at a checkpoint, he brutally murdered them.

The Kaiserslautern Regional Court has accused the suspect of being the person who shot the two officers in the head. The crime caused great commotion in the territory, since the policemen were 24 and 29 years old and could not defend themselves.

As the court has affirmed, the hunter was stopped in control and to cover up the illegal activity he was carrying out with the game, he fired at the agents. He took advantage while they were checking the vehicle, first shooting the woman who was still a member of the police academy and shooting her again, ending her life. The sheriff who was with her had time to take her radio and call for her help, but was shot in the head soon after.

The murderer was not alone, he was accompanied by another person who has been declared an accomplice to a crime in each furtive, but has avoided prison for helping to solve the case. The sentence includes the prohibition that the inmate, Andreas S., can enjoy freedom after having served 15 years behind bars due to the seriousness of the facts.

On the last day of last year, they found the bodies of the brutally murdered police officers, which shocked the country due to the type of crime and the lack of evidence to incriminate the culprits. Luckily, just one day later and thanks to the evidence found in the agents' car, they proceeded to arrest him in a nearby house where they found the murder weapon.

The subsequent investigation discovered that the murderer had had his weapons permit withdrawn due to a hunting accident and carrying out various irregularities. The convicted man ignored him and continued with his main source of income, poaching, and when the policemen were going to discover him, he ended his life.
