Álex de la Croix ('The one that is coming') raises her voice after being treated like a man on Telecinco: "It's abusive"

"Fed up, but fed up with the verb," lamented actress Álex de la Croix when, once again, she saw how her name appeared in the media next to the label "actor" instead of "actress." The filmmaker, who is currently part of the cast of The one that is coming, had to see the unfortunate error precisely in the news of the network that broadcasts the series openly.

The actress offered an interview last Friday within the framework of the FesTVal de Vitoria 2023, where she was with her colleagues in the series. Among other media, the actress spoke for Informativos Telecinco, which labeled her name as "actor." De la Croix could not help but raise her voice through her social networks, stating that she was tired of the situation.

"This is something that I shouldn't be explaining again, but it turns out that I am. It is unacceptable, violent and abusive that the network I work for does not respect my identity," explained the actress, showing a screenshot of what happened through her Stories. "This just happened on Telecinco's news from this morning's press conference for the new season of La que se cerca."

After ensuring that she was "fed up" with having to explain herself, she continued with the topic on her official Instagram profile. "That I have to constantly justify myself, give explanations, be empathetic, understand other people's mistakes, turn the other cheek, telling myself 'oh, nothing is happening'. Well yes, it does happen, everything happens. It happens badly, it's called health mental and is not infinite, it wears out, it spoils, it becomes damaged.

The actress was most upset with the network that broadcasts the series, accusing them of not respecting her identity at a time when sex and gender issues are precisely one of the hottest issues and one that sparks the most debates in the society.

The woman from Cádiz has lived a process of acceptance throughout her life and, although her gender expression went through many stages and inside she always felt the same, on the outside she has managed to reach the point where she feels more comfortable.

"I feel transphobia daily, from looks on the street, from being treated masculine knowing that I am a dissident. No matter where you go, you always find some type of discrimination," said the model in an interview with 20 minutes a few months ago, "Is it so difficult to use a language that is neutral? I have done the test and it is not."
