Kevin Costner's wife refuses to leave home to pressure actor with divorce

Just a month ago, the entertainment industry was shaken by unexpected news: after almost two decades of marriage, Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner put an end to their relationship. A decision made by the still wife of the protagonist of Yellowstone, who cited the usual "irreconcilable differences" in the documents presented to the courts.

A normal separation, until more details were discovered, such as that Christine Baumgartner's decision had taken her still-husband by surprise, who did not quite know why she wanted to end their relationship, apparently idyllic for all these years.

However, it seems that it would not be so much; Proof of this is that Christine refuses to move from the family home, despite being stipulated in the prenuptial contract that she signed with Costner before getting married and having received a million-dollar sum to cover the expenses to do so, in order to pressure her still husband into Economic issues.

As reported by the TMZ portal, the actor would have confirmed that his still wife does not want to leave the family home, owned by the actor; despite the fact that the contract that she signed before marrying the actor in 2004 would oblige her to do so and that she would have already received more than 1.2 million euros to find a new residence.

According to the document, Baumgartner would have had 30 days to move since she filed the divorce papers herself, on May 1, but she had not yet left the home. Costner owns the three residences they own, and everything would be neatly tied up in said prenup.

Her refusal, therefore, would have caused Kevin Costner's legal team to take action on the matter and have placed it in the hands of the courts to force her to leave there, alleging that the woman only intends to stay so that the actor gives up on his "various economic claims".

Apparently, in addition to his million-dollar check to find a new home, Baumgartner would already have more or less established the amounts to receive for the support of the couple's three children together -Cayden (15), Hayes (14) and the Benjamin, Grace (12) -, with the actor willing to offer more money for the transfer and guarantee the well-being of the children when they are with their mother.

Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner began their relationship in 1998, and from the beginning, the actor revealed that his wife had always been very clear with him about his priorities in life, the biggest being a mother. Baumgartner made it clear to the actor that he wanted children, and if he wanted to have a relationship with her, that was what would happen. The couple maintained a six-year courtship, before she gave him an ultimatum and the actor decided to take the final step and get married, which happened in 2004.

Their relationship has been at least idyllic for the last two decades, with their three children and very focused on their family life. The reasons that could have precipitated their divorce, for now, only they know; but just a few weeks ago they both posed at different events and there was nothing to suspect that things were going wrong between them.

This will be the second divorce for Costner, after his marriage to Cindy Silva, which ended in 1994. Costner also has four other children from previous relationships: Annie (39), Lily (36), Joe (35) -fruit from his marriage to Silva- and Liam Costner (26), whose mother is Bridget Rooney, with whom the actor had a brief relationship in the late 90s.
