The president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, has held a meeting with members of the Association of Valencian Jurists to whom he has conveyed the support of the Consell so that the Valencian Community recovers the legislative capacity in matters of Civil Law, always with respect for the Constitution.
Mazón, according to Juristes sources, has stated that "we have to achieve the recovery of Valencian civil law so as not to be second-class Spaniards, especially due to the usefulness for people of developing modern and useful civil laws, and of broad social demand." .
José Ramón Chirivella, president of the association, has conveyed to Mazón that the Generalitat must disseminate the usefulness "of having civil laws again to have greater freedom to make a will, introduce causes of disinheritance or favor the survival of companies and Valencian agricultural holdings with succession rules to favor this very broad source of employment in the Valencian Community".
Juristes has invited Mazón to also lead proposals regarding the new regional financing model and they consider that before canceling FLA debt, "it is appropriate to prioritize the removal of improper debt derived from underfinancing." Juristes Valencians considers that the PP at the state level must also support respect for the statute in matters of civil law in Congress.
Chirivella considers it disloyal that the Valencian constitutional reform has not been processed since 2020, and considers that it is a disloyalty of Congress to the Generalitat, the Valencian Courts and above all to the 5 million Valencians.
