Junts includes the case of Borràs in his claim for amnesty to the PSOE

Self-determination and amnesty. Junts maintains the conditions for an eventual investiture of Pedro Sánchez, or any other candidate, that he set before 23-J. This is how party spokesperson Míriam Nogueras reaffirms herself in an interview with the ACN news agency, in which she maintains that it is the PSOE who "needs the votes" and who "must move."

Beyond the referendum, the leader of Carles Puigdemont's party emphasizes that the amnesty law must cover "the whole of law", which includes, in her opinion, the conviction of the president of the party, Laura Borràs, for the alleged case of fraud in the Institution of Catalan Letters. In this case, it is clear that "obviously" Borràs is also a "victim of the law".

Precisely the TSJC, in the same sentence that sentenced Borràs to four and a half years in prison for the award of contracts to the ILC, proposed to the Spanish government the partial pardon that would prevent his entry into prison.

After the agreement for the Congress Table, from Junts they vindicate their negotiating strategy. "I had to end this surrender, for so many years, of ERC in the PSOE, which has led nowhere," criticizes Nogueras. The parliamentary spokeswoman defends that they are "the only party that everyone knows which side of the table they sit on, what they defend and their interests."

On the other hand, asked by the Republicans, the Junts leader is not so clear: "It is not something that I say. It is something obvious. PSOE and ERC have been investiture and legislature partners. I suppose that in exchange for party things, but Catalonia hasn't won anything".

However, Míriam Nogueras "welcomes" that the Republicans "are rectifying the statements they have been making" and that "they are moving towards our strategy." He denies that it is Junts who has changed his strategy in Madrid: "In no case." If they haven't reached agreements before, he concludes, it's because "they haven't knocked on our door until now."

As agreed with Junts, Minister José Manuel Albares has requested the official status of Catalan, Basque and Galician in the European Union and their inclusion in the order of the meeting of the General Affairs Council of the EU on September 19 . For the modification of regulation number 1 to prosper, the unanimity of the 27 Member States is necessary. In this context, Junts warns that "the Spanish government must be very proactive so that the 19th goes well."

"There has never been a request for the incorporation of an official language in this Council that has not been unanimously approved," emphasizes Míriam Nogueras, who urges the State to carry out its diplomatic work so that it is approved. "If something happens, I'm sure it's Spain's fault," he says. For this reason, and with an eye on the investiture negotiations, he places the meeting on September 19 as "the cotton test."

Míriam Nogueras avoids detailing who is part of the negotiating team, but points out that former president Carles Puigdemont has been involved and is "absolutely on the case with everything." He also avoids answering whether a call or a meeting between Pedro Sánchez and the Junts MEP will be necessary, but maintains that "whatever he has to discuss with the PSOE and Sánchez will be done directly with them and at the highest level."

The Junts spokeswoman does not rule out an electoral repetition. "It is a possible scenario," admits Nogueras, who concludes: "Right now, neither Feijóo nor Sánchez have the votes they need."
