Inés Arrimadas and Xavier Cima separate

Inés Arrimadas and Xavier Cima have separated after seven years of marriage, as reported by Crónica Global. A love story that began in the Parliament of Catalonia, when the businessman was still a representative for the Democratic Convergence of Catalonia. A relationship that they carried out with the greatest of discretion, like their breakup, of which hardly any details have been revealed.

The couple said 'yes, I want' in 2016 in Jerez de la Frontera -Arrimadas's homeland- four years after they met, and their marriage leaves two children as a result, Alex (3), who arrived in the midst of a pandemic; and Mark (1).

An atypical marriage that showed that love does not understand ideologies, since they were totally opposite in terms of political ideals: Ciudadanos, the party led by Arrimadas, was firmly committed to the unity of Spain; while Convergència, where he was framed, is one of the formations that joined Junts Pel Sí, the pro-independence coalition. That yes, opposed in the ideological, but totally blended in their hobbies and tastes.

Despite the fact that they met dedicated entirely to politics, Cima retired over the years, leaving that work entirely to his now ex-wife. The businessman did not run with his party in the 2015 elections and ended up leaving his position as a councilor in the Ripoll City Council in 2016, going on to dedicate himself to the private business sector and moving with Arrimadas to Barcelona and, later, to Madrid, where you currently reside.

Arrimadas, for his part, moved to Jerez de la Frontera a few months ago, where his family lives, almost coinciding with his resignation from the responsibilities of Ciudadanos, shortly before the last electoral call. According to the aforementioned newspaper, the couple had already distanced themselves when she returned to Andalusia, which would have led to the final separation.
