The commitment to sustainability, new technologies and inclusion are the intrinsic values of the 080 Barcelona Fashion platform and the third day of fashion shows opened with the fashion show of the brand Free Form Style, specialized in inclusive fashion.

Marina Vergés and Carolina Asensio are the creators of this brand, a pioneer in designing fashion adapted for different disabilities, and which is committed to comfort and elegance. "Until now it seemed that fashion was only suitable for one type of body," says Asensio, and in her second participation in 080 she is happy because "there are already ramps to access the photocall, we have gained something."

The collection is called Just a Perfect Day and is based on work clothing from the mid-20th century in the United States, so the base fabric is denim. "This time the patterns are more elaborate. We are learning, with the use of Velcro, magnets..., -explains Marina Vergés. It is a fashion that is here to stay." And her partner adds: "For people who use wheelchairs, we design pants that are higher in the back. And they can also be used for all those who spend many hours sitting, because they are more comfortable."

Models with disabilities in wheelchairs, without legs, or any arms, and blind people have walked on the Free Form Style catwalk. Also the Paralympic swimmer Sarai Gascón, who hopes to get a new medal at the Paris Games, and the former athlete Jesús Alarcón.

Next, Guillermo Justicia paraded, at 24 years old he is the youngest designer of this edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion, and in front of his proud grandparents he presented his first Mycorrhizal collection. "It is a chaotic collection, but in which I want to express that anything in nature can be unified," explains the designer.

He has sewn everything himself with the collaboration of friends. The garments, made with natural fabrics or leftover stock, are oversized and combine details of classic pieces: pants with jacket flaps on the fly, huge and quilted sweaters or shirts buttoned at the back.

Lebor Gabala, Maite Muñoz's brand, has been inspired by the highlands of Scotland, the Highlands for its autumn-winter 2024 collection. A range of coats in rhombuses, checks, houndstooth and herringbone that capture the essence of the classics . "In addition to the usual colors such as maroon, green, blue and pastel tones, this year I have opted for gray and black and especially red, which will be the star color of winter."

In the fine knit, sweaters in a blend of cashmere and superfine merino wool that are like a second skin, to build layers and protect yourself from the cold. Wide shirts and skirts made of soft checkered and lizard fabrics complete the collection.

Anaïs Vauxcelles, the designer of the Valencian brand 404 Studio, has dressed Kylie Minogue, Dua Lipa, Lola Lolita, Julia Fox and Beyoncé.

In the collection presented at 080 Barcelona Fashion Ghost in the shell moves towards evolutionary craftsmanship, as a way of development and change, but also as a way of returning to our origins. "I think that craftsmanship is the only thing that differentiates us human beings from robots. And no two pieces of craftsmanship are the same, even if the same materials are used. It is something similar to what happens with the tortilla de patalas," he comments. The designer. And she adds: "Perhaps in the future money will disappear and the currency of exchange will be natural materials."

Barequero is the name of the men's collection by Colombian Mateo Velásquez. The designer incorporates references from Marmato, the mining town where he grew up. Gold symbolizes that which is superior and divine, a treasure that is difficult to find in a place where the majority of the population works in a mine, living with mercury, lack of air, darkness and heat.

And from Marmato, in Colombia, to a pool in Palm Spings. Menchén Tomàs, who next year will celebrate 30 years of his brand, has been inspired by an iconic photo of Slim Aarons to reflect a glamorous party in the collection that he presented at 080 Barcelona Fashion. "I can't start designing a collection if I don't have a story to develop. And when I found the photo, the rest came naturally," says designer Olga Menchén.

Poolside, the name of the collection, shows in 35 elegant looks dressed through embroidered fabrics, silks, chiffons and cotton and fringes. And a color palette that ranges from white to pastel tones and black. A festive atmosphere reflected in timeless, durable and fluid pieces. "For the first time I have released two men's looks as a tribute to a client and great friend who is going through a delicate moment."

Dominnico closed the third day of 080. The designer has managed to create a very identifying style, which drives his followers who packed the show hall crazy and which is the starting point of the new collection inspired by the marine world.

From its eclectic aesthetic and ornate details such as blondes, rivets, eyes and metal pieces, bows and the incorporation of artificial hair, they represent the marine world. The materials include Texan, recycled leather and hair, corduroy, gold and silver laminate, and vinyl.

Among the techniques in the collection are tie dye, slashing, worn denim and gatherings framed within the balletcore aesthetic. As for colors, classic pastel colors predominate with the appearance of lime green, oxygenated denim and browns, as well as rhinestone inlays.
