"I love you very much, I owe you everything!" Míchel opens up about Amancio Amaro

"Only one other person has believed in me as much as you: my father," said Míchel González, current coach of Greek Olympiacos and who was part of the champion Castilla led by Amancio Amaro, the club's honorary president who died on Tuesday.

"I love you very much!!! I owe you everything!!!", affirms the former Real Madrid player, who asserts that because he believes so much in him he will always cry, and ends his message on social networks, published on a photo of both smiling: " Thank you infinite and eternal ".

Míchel was part, together with Emilio Butragueño, Rafael Martín Vázquez, Manuel Sanchís and Miguel Pardeza, of the Quinta del Buitre, of which Amancio Amaro was the 'father', who died at the age of 83. It was he who made them debut at Castilla at the beginning of the 80s and who promoted them to the first team.

Míchel was already at Castilla when in 1982 he took over the controls of Castillo Amancio. Throughout that season, the Galician would make Emilio Butragueño and Miguel Pardeza debut in the Second Division. The following season he also granted minutes to Martín Vázquez and Manolo Sánchís.

In 1984 Amancio took command of the first team, and with him he took Míchel, Butragueño and Sanchís, who became undisputed starters from that moment on. Martín Vázquez also played more than a dozen games that season.
