The works of the new green axes of L'Eixample are about to finish completely and, therefore, it is time to restart services that had been affected during the works. To make it easier for the information to reach all the merchants directly, a team of various informants are visiting, from this Monday until June 30, all the stores on these streets in order to answer any questions that may arise.

With regard to commercial selective collection, the informants explain how this service works in pacified streets. Among the novelties, for example, it stands out that the service will collect the commercial cardboard at the doors of the establishments every day of the week. In addition, the informants also explain how to correctly separate the other fractions and where to throw them away, as well as the existing regulations on waste prevention in shops.
Loading and unloading, in line and from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The biggest novelty affects the urban distribution of goods (DUM). These days, the signs explaining the new system have just been placed on all the green axes, which is similar to the one that already works with good results in the Sant Antoni superblock. Now, all commercial vehicles will be able to load and unload in the trunk of the green axles (not in the chamfers) and in a curb (that is, making a single line on one side of the street, leaving enough space for them to keep passing the other cars). In addition, they can only do it during these hours:
Outside of these hours, vendors' suppliers may use the DUM Area squares in the streets around the green axes, which operate with the general schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., or make the delivery on bicycles, cycles of charge or on foot.

The new containers, from July
On the other hand, the containers of the various waste fractions will return to these streets at the beginning of July, and they will be progressively placed over a couple of weeks. The “Cuidamos Barcelona” team will also inform the residents of the hubs with a poster in the entrance halls of their homes a few days before the new containers are placed.
