Hope in the Matagalls thaw

At 8.15 am I captured this photograph for La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos of the summit of Matagalls with snow. I hope it continues like this. Water for life.

The Matagalls is a mountain of 1698 meters, located between the municipalities of Brull and Viladrau in the region of Osona, and Montseny, in the Vallès Oriental.

At the top we find the Creu de Matagalls. a cross planted on the summit of this mountain, which is not the highest in Montseny, but is exceeded by a few meters by Turó del Home and Les Agudes.

The Coll Formic - Cruz de Matagalls route is the shortest and easiest ascent to this mountain, which now looks snowy after the latest rainfall last weekend. This itinerary covers a difference in altitude of 553 meters and can be done in an hour and a quarter.

If the day is clear, there are very wide panoramic views. In this case, the sky is dominated by the presence of the sun, which appears and shines above the summit of Matagalls.
