The National Police is investigating the murder of a 48-year-old man who was stabbed in a possible robbery that occurred this Monday in a country area near the Fuencarral-El Pardo highway, in the Madrid district that has the same name.
The victim, who died shortly after at the La Paz hospital, was able to tell the man who notified the emergency services that a man had approached him to ask for money and, immediately afterwards, stabbed him in the the chest -at the level of the heart- without saying a word, sources of the investigation have informed EFE.
That witness found the victim minutes before 12:00 on the Ortigal road, an area of wooded trails that has complicated access to emergency services.
In fact, the Samur-Civil Protection ambulances have taken half an hour to reach the place, from where the witness has been giving them directions.
The first to arrive have been the agents of the National Police, who have found the victim with significant difficulties breathing.
As reported by Madrid Emergencies, he had suffered a deep stab wound to the left hemithorax and was bleeding very profusely.
The Samur-Civil Protection toilets have intubated the man and have begun his transfer to La Paz, but on the way he has entered into a first cardiorespiratory arrest that the doctors have managed to reverse.
They have also had to place a chest tube to drain the large amount of blood accumulated in the wound area.
Already in the hospital center he suffered a second stop, although the doctors have returned to recover the pulse of the victim, who has ended up dying minutes later.
The Madrid Homicide Group VI has taken over the investigation of the crime.
