Half a hundred evicted in Sitges due to a car fire

Up to 33 people have had to spend the night in hotels in Sitges, in the Subur and the Celimar, due to a car burning in the community parking lot of the block at number 11 of Bosc de Can Bruguera street. In total there were fifty evicted. For unknown reasons, a car located on the lower floor of the underground parking lot of a 7-story block in the Santa Bàrbara area was set on fire, although no one was injured.

The president of the community of owners was treated at the Primary Care Center due to his state of nervousness and for presenting a cough, although he was immediately discharged. The affected car has been burned, and the flames have partially affected another car and a motorcycle.

The Bombers, who received the notice at 10:07 p.m., were forced to order the eviction. The residents of the 24 floors of stairway A, 14 of stairway B, and the only house on the ground floor were ordered to leave their homes. The police patrols have informed and helped those affected who wished to relocate through their means. Firefighters have accompanied them to their homes to collect "the essentials" before leaving a farm that has been left without electricity and gas supplies. They have also been able to remove their vehicles. The Firefighters, who have participated in the operation with up to eight vehicles led by the sergeant from Vilafranca del Penedès, have verified that the structure of the building has not been affected and have ended the service at 2:10 in the morning.

This morning the neighbors have been able to return to their homes to collect the necessary belongings. Despite this, the Sitges Local Police has maintained custody of the building since Bombers has stated that until the repairs are made, the residents should not return to their apartments.
