García-Gallardo invites young people to doubt whether CO2 is a polluting gas

The vice president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Juan García-Gallardo, is once again at the center of the controversy after urging young people between the ages of 15 and 17 this Monday to ask themselves "if CO2 is a polluting gas" or about whether "the black legend about the conquest of America by Spain is true or not".

In this way, García-Gallardo, who has inaugurated the VII Training Week of the San Agustín de Salamanca School, has asked the young people "to take a step forward to make social changes".

He has also ensured that young people are "responsible for initiating and promoting social changes", because some of the most important changes in history "have not been the result of large majorities or consensus, but rather the impulse of a few brave young people who knew how to give a step forward".

"This objective is of vital importance. Young people of an age like yours must dare to disagree, think for yourselves, have a critical mentality, respect what your elders and teachers say, but without ceasing to be skeptical and stop looking for the truth for yourselves," he said.

Juan García-Gallardo has asked these young students to avoid "buying prejudices", to have "an open mind" and not to buy "the damaged merchandise that some want to sell in a pack".

It has also encouraged them to ask themselves questions, to ask teachers, and to take "responsibility for finding" their own answers.

In this sense, he recalled that in his youth they wondered "if the second republic in Spain was a fully democratic regime" and he invited the young students to ask themselves "if the black legend of the conquest of America by Spain is true or not" or whether or not "CO2 is a polluting gas".
