Four photographic brushstrokes of Vilassar de Mar

I had to walk through Vilassar de Mar, a municipality where I had never been before and where I was able to make this photographic report for La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos about various aspects that I notably liked.

First I must admit that I did not know anything about the controversy surrounding the Espigó de Garbí, affected by coastal laws. Now we are waiting to preserve the fishermen's houses.

Regarding the Yacht Club, as in the previous point, with the restaurant now closed, details are also awaited on the rest of the facilities.

This is where, aesthetically, I realized that the members' houses (I saw numbering up to 224 compartments) form a blauet group, at least, very nice.

In one of the houses on Sant Pau Street I read the story of the history of the centuries-old houses, until the current Yacht Club was installed.

Among the many manifestations in Vilassar de Mar of the modernist architectural style, I choose one of the most symbolic, which is Can Bassa.

The set of ornamental details on the façade (figures, capitals, gargoyles) and the iron fence are surprising, as seen in the photograph.

Finally, I portrayed the Llagut de sardinal, which is part of the town's coat of arms, omnipresent in buildings and monuments (for example, in the church bell tower, in Can Bassa or in the monument to the Mina Vella)
