Agents of the National Police in Ciutadella have arrested four men between the ages of 25 and 30 for having kidnapped another for a drug debt. Three of these men are charged with kidnapping after they intercepted the victim on the street and forced her into a vehicle with enormous force.
The attackers brutally beat the kidnapped to demand that he pay the debt. In the previous days, the victim had received threats against himself and his family. The kidnappers continued to beat the man until they decided to take them to an ATM so that the victim could withdraw all the money available with a credit card.
When the four men took the victim out of the car, he started a struggle and managed to get away from those who had kidnapped him against his will. The man went to the police offices in Ciutadella, which began the investigation. The young man told the agents about the kidnapping and explained that he had been beaten with enormous violence,
He said that they had put him in a car against his will and also detailed that, previously, his mobile phone and other personal belongings had been stolen. The attacked assured that the alleged perpetrators of this violent event demanded the payment of a drug debt
The Judicial Police group of the National Police in Ciutadella began the investigation efforts and the investigations ended up focusing on four men who lived between es Castell and Maó. The agents arrested the alleged perpetrators, three of them with police records, and immediately went to court.
The event occurred at dawn on April 1 and three of the detainees face charges of kidnapping, threats and robbery with violence. The fourth is accused of a crime of threats.
