Fire sky over Tona castle

Spectacular sunset this Monday on the mountain of Castell de Tona, in the region of Osona, as we can see in The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia.

The mound where the Castell de Tona is located together with the church of Sant Andreu can be seen from afar and if we go up to this place we will have good views of Montseny, Collsuspina and Muntanyola.

From below and combined with this sunset lit up with lenticular clouds, the spectacle is maximum. There is also a photo of the colorful repeater with a lenticular cloud.

Lenticular clouds are called that because they are shaped like a lentil, as their name indicates, or there are also those who see them as a saucer or converging lens.

They are stationary and form mainly at high altitudes in mountainous areas and isolated from other clouds. Among mountaineers these clouds are considered a harbinger of a storm.

For its part, the candilazo sky stands out, a meteorological phenomenon in which the clouds in the sky show a wide palette of colors that ranges from pink to the most intense orange.

As part of the phenomenon of dispersion of sunlight, in the morning and afternoon hours, when the sun is closer to the horizon, the light that reaches the Earth is soft tones between red and orange.
