The month of February has started with a splendid spring day, as we see in this report in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos. You could even see how the schools went out to teach classes in the countryside, while the hikers headed towards emblematic places, such as the surroundings of the Puig-agut sanctuary, in Osona.
Only the morning fog seemed to remind us that we are in winter, although this winter of climate change seems false to us, without cold, snow and, far from it, without rain, since not only mild temperatures but also drought persist.
As can be seen in the images, a good place to enjoy pleasant outdoor walks with these spring temperatures is the vicinity of Puig-agut.
The Puig-agut sanctuary is a hermitage located in a beautiful natural enclave in Manlleu. In addition to being a place with a lot of history, it has great architectural beauty that stands out among the landscape. It is one of those places where you can disconnect that you have to know if you visit this area of Catalonia.
It is located on top of a hill at 696 meters above sea level, the highest point in Manlleu. It is a religious building in the neo-Gothic style, inspired by the French basilica of Tarbes.
