'El Melillero' sentenced to 41 years in prison for the acid attack on his ex-girlfriend in Malaga

The Provincial Court of Malaga has sentenced José Arcadio D.N., 'El Melillero', to a total of 41 years and three months in prison for the sulfuric acid attack on his ex-girlfriend and a friend in the Malaga town of Cártama.

The sentence, to which EFE has had access, also sentences Juan José G., who accompanied 'El Melillero' at the time of the attack, to a total of 31 years in prison, for two crimes of attempted murder of both women and another fifteen months for a crime of serious threats.

'El Melillero' has been sentenced to seventeen years for the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend, another sixteen years for the attempted murder of her friend, three years for a crime of habitual abuse, one year and three months for a crime of harassment and four years for two crimes of threats, although he will not be able to serve more than 25 years for the total of the sentences.
