A mountain cycling landmark in Sant Gregori is the route to the House of the Templars in Aiguaviva, in the Gironès, declared a Cultural Property of National Interest.
During one of these routes I captured this panoramic view of the house for Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia, with the Sant Grau mountain as a backdrop.
The Casa dels Templers is located on the outskirts of Aiguaviva, close to the industrial area, surrounded by farmland, as seen in the image. It is a fortified house with the Romanesque chapel of Santa Magdalena.
At the time it had an establishment of the Order of the Temple, although above all it was a house of an agricultural nature.
It is a building documented in 1209, although the main body was reformed in the 16th century and only the main door, on which a shield was carved from the old plan, was preserved.
