Cullera and Altea hang the 'no rooms' for the Medusa Festival and the Castell de l'Olla

The Valencian Community already exceeds 85% of confirmed reservations for the bridge on August 15, waiting for a last push in last-minute reservations with which many hotels will hang the "full" sign.

Although the festivity of the Assumption of the Virgin falls on a Tuesday this year, the hotel sector receives Ferragosto with optimism. The province of Alicante stands out, since both Benidorm and the rest of the Costa Blanca already have 90% of their reserved places, and last-minute tourists are expected to add at least three points to that percentage. Hotels in the province of Valencia already have 84.2% of their reservations insured, and those in the province of Castellón, 84.8%.

According to the interpretation of the data provided by the hotel management Hosbec, "the upward trend that has been dragging on for weeks is motivated by the diversity of the offer in the Valencian Community, which during these days hosts events such as the Medusa Festival in Cullera or the fireworks at Castell de l'Olla, which mean that destinations such as Altea today are already at the desired "technically full" with an occupancy rate of more than 94%.

The province of Valencia, with 60% of the national market, continues with its positive path and already registers an occupancy rate of 84.2%. With 45% of the hotels surveyed with registrations above 90% and 30% of the entire group, with all their rooms reserved. Being the hotels located in coastal destinations such as Gandia the most chosen by tourists, close to 90% of reservations.

The average occupancy for the province of Castellón for these days is practically 85%, highlighting the loyalty of the national market, which represents 87% of the total. With almost 40% of the hotels in the statistical sample recording figures above 90% and with expectations of covering the last available rooms in recent days.

The president of Hosbec, Fede Fuster, has stated that "the omens that we have been announcing weeks ago are confirmed, with reserves in the province of Alicante above 90% and with expectations of selling part of the available inventory in the province of Valencia and Castellón to be able to give a last impulse in the occupations.

However, Fuster emphasizes that "we must not be obsessed with breaking records, since the data is already very positive and there are other points to which we must also give importance, such as hotel profitability and, of course, customer loyalty and satisfaction. to choose the Valencian Community again as a future holiday destination".
