Cubarsí: "I'm still assimilating it, I'm a little freaked out"

Center back Pau Cubarsí, one of Barcelona's sensations, assured about the quarterfinal tie against the French PSG that Xavi Hernández's men will go "all out" to get it through.

"I'm looking forward to the tie, we haven't been in the quarterfinals for many years, we'll go all out," said the young defender in statements distributed by FC Barcelona.

Cubarsí predicts two "very good" matches for the spectators and also for the players. "They are those who push you to the limit, you want to play at your best, give everything and we want to be in the semifinals," he said.

"We have to come out like we did in the first half with Naples, which was very good, and have the right intensity to stop PSG's attacking players, who are the most important," he insisted.

In statements to Movistar, the center-back stated that he was “very happy, I'm still assimilating it, I'm a little freaked out. It's like a dream because I have always wanted to be where I am now, in the club of my life. That the fans support you and have a song for you is a dream come true,” he noted.

Regarding what it means to play for Barça, he is aware that “a lot of pressure is not good, that's why I try to be myself on the field, as if I were in Barça B or in the youth team. Family and friends help me, be myself and not change anything,” he explained.

Brazilian forward Raphael Dias 'Raphinha' commented that it was already known that the match in the draw would be "difficult" because any of the eight that remain can fight for the Champions League.

"It will be a difficult game to play with PSG there, but we also know what we can do, we know our potential and with our fans, here, it will be a very difficult game for them. We will do our best to win," he insisted.

He believes that the team has to be mentally strong and "well focused" to make it through the tie. Raphinha also asked for the support of the fans: "Player number twelve is always special and helps us be stronger."

Striker Lamine Yamal stated that reaching the quarterfinals is difficult. "We will play like we did against Naples to try to get through the round. We have to play our game and play as we know how," he stated.
