The Government Delegation, in coordination with the National Police, has reached an agreement with MSC Cruises so that the group of 69 Bolivian citizens who were traveling on the cruise ship from Brazil could disembark this Thursday morning to a transit area in the port of Barcelona. , where they have been denied access to Spanish territory. This has allowed the MSC Armonía to set sail with more than a thousand passengers starting at one o'clock this afternoon to continue its route to the port of Marghera (Italy), where it plans to arrive on April 8.

The agreement reached between the Government delegate, Carlos Prieto, and the executive president of MSC cruises, Pier Francesco Vago, by videoconference on Wednesday allows passengers to have adequate space to carry out the necessary immigration procedures. To this end, MSC cruises has made available a second ship, which the shipping company has moved from Livorno, and docked shortly before two in the afternoon in the port of Barcelona, ​​on which the 69 Bolivian citizens will board and on which they will remain. until all the procedures planned for the return to your country are resolved.

In addition, and at the request of the Government Delegation, in the transit area MSC cruises has set up a provisioning, food and healthcare area in case it is necessary.

Immigration procedures will be carried out urgently so that passengers have a resolution as soon as possible.

Previously, at 6:00 in the morning, 275 Brazilian passengers disembarked from the MSC Armonía bound for Rome so as not to miss their return flight to their country, a trip that the company has taken care of.
