'Crims' returns today with four new cases

'Crims' returns today with four new cases

Crims, the true crime series directed and presented by Carles Porta and produced by TV3 with the collaboration of Goroka and True Crime Factory, returns tonight to the channel's grill with a season of six episodes, where four cases will be grouped, the first that of Marina Ruiz.

Since it was born in Catalunya Ràdio by the hand and the voice of Carles Porta in 2018 with the broadcast of one chapter every week, Crims has become a success in various formats as the data shows: 204,000 listeners live on the radio ; 3.6 million viewers in the 33 television episodes and 44 million reproductions of the radio and television programs, together with the published books, on the list of the most read, and an exhibition at the Palau Robert that has already reached the 140,000 visits. The television version can also be seen throughout Spain through Movistar Plus.

The excellent reception of Crims by the public is accompanied by recognitions such as the National Communication Award for the best radio program, the Ondas Award for the best radio program, the Ràdio Associació Award for the best television program or the PremiZapping for the best television program and best presenter.

The new season opens with the case of Marina Ruiz. On February 15, 1999, the body of a dead woman was found on the train tracks in Cervera, in La Segarra. At first, the Mossos believed that it had been a suicide, but there were things that did not add up. Her body was naked, with obvious signs of violence, and a few meters away an iron bar was found that could have been the murder weapon. With the first investigations, the identity of the victim was discovered: her name was Marina Ruiz and she worked in a factory that was right next to where her body had been found. The Mossos pointed to the immediate surroundings of the victim.

The second case will be that of Jordi Comas, and it will take place over three weeks. The first chapter will be a different proposal. Porta leaves the radio studio to talk with Carme Hospital, and let her be the one to explain, in the first person and at the scene, how she lived that cold night that changed her life forever.

On Sunday, November 18, 2012, in Platja d'Aro, three hooded men broke into the home of Jordi Comas, president of the Girona business association, and his wife, Carme Hospital, while they were preparing to watch an electoral debate. . They ended up killing Jordi Comas. The other two cases in the new season of Crims are dedicated to Yimmy Cox and the robbery at Banc Sabadell de Valls in 1985.
