The municipal government of Barcelona, ​​through the first deputy mayor, the socialist Laia Bonet, has today presented the document of the Municipal Action Program 2023-2027, the roadmap for the city in this mandate that specifies the initiatives that the local executive plans to promote it in the coming years.

The PAM, which is an indicative document, will be submitted on Wednesday for initial approval by the Presidency committee of Barcelona City Council. It is presented at a time when the socialist Jaume Collboni, with 10 of the 41 councilors in the plenary session, is in a clear minority, although on May 2 he will be able to approve this year's budgets, which only have the support of PSC and ERC, automatically, after having submitted to a question of confidence and the opposition groups not presenting an alternative candidate for mayor.

The PAM 2023-2027 includes a total of 622 actions, 233 with a global scope of the city and 389 specific to the neighborhoods included in the District Action Programs (PAD). These are some of the most notable ones.

Increase the affordable housing stock by 4,000 new apartments; reform of the 30% mandatory measure; boosting the rehabilitation of 20,000 homes with Next Generation funds

Consolidation of the Endreça and Comprehensive Maintenance plans with a budget of 435 million; acquisition of free interior spaces (block interiors); creation of shade spaces and climatic shelters; Clima Escola Plan to air-condition 170 schools

Finish the reform of the Rambla before 2027; finish the Via Laietana; second phase of coverage of the round of Dalt; advance the renovations of the Meridiana, the Sagrera and Glòries; renewal of the coast; Plan Montjuïc 2023-2029; boost to the new Clinical Campus and double the endowment of the Neighborhood Plan 2025-2028
