Cavatast returns with force to Sant Sadurní

The XXVII edition of Cavatast, the cava and gastronomy exhibition organized by the Sant Sadurní d'Anoia City Council, once again fills the Lluís Companys park this weekend. And it does so with an expansion of the space and with the presence of forty cava and gastronomy producers, still far from its best editions.

Among this year's novelties, the creation of a space within the exhibition where tastings and pairings can be carried out, from gourmet bikinis to Penedès cheeses, stands out. Aecava wants to put emphasis this year “on the potential of cava paired with gastronomic products.” In this edition the Artisans Show has more participation than ever. The mayor of Sant Sadurní, Pere Vernet, highlights the “strong” recovery of the fair after the pandemic, and wanted to call for unity in the sector in the face of the ravages of the drought.

Next Thursday, in addition, around twenty cava-producing wineries will participate in the popular Open Day organized by the Confraria del Cava Sant Sadurní. The wineries that will be open this year will be the following: Agustí Torelló Mata, Blancher, Canals

And the Cava Confraria will pay tribute on October 20 to the career of the former president of the DO Cava and the Cava Confraria Pere Bonet Ferrer, and will invest chef Jordi Cruz as an honorary brotherhood.
