Camarero demands that the Government comply and pay 50% of the Valencian Dependency

The vice president of the Generalitat and Minister of Social Services and Equality, Susana Camarero, has demanded that the Government provide 50% of the financing of the Dependency Law that corresponds to this regulation, although in 2023 it will have only contributed 23%. For this reason, she has criticized that the Botànic did not "claim" this amount and has defended "painting" it in the budget.

The budget income of this department has focused a good part of the debate between Camarero and the opposition in the presentation of their budget lines. PSPV-PSOE and Compromís have accused the vice president of having "fictitious" and "illusory" income for her accounts.

Camarero, for his part, has defended "doing more with less", but he has argued why the provision for payment of the dependency that corresponds to the central executive according to the 2006 law and that no Government of Spain has paid has been included. never to the Generalitat.

"Next year I will come and say that they have probably not paid any attention to me," the vice president admitted, but stressed that, in this way, it has been "recognized that they have to pay us." "I hope this time they listen to me," she added.

Regarding the rest of the accounts, Camarero has defended that the priority is to "pay" what was already budgeted and the debts that he has stated that the Botànic has left. From the previous government, he has criticized several of his measures, such as the Convivint Plan, which he has described as a "big lie."

From the PSPV-PSOE, Rosa Peris has considered that "the elephant gave birth to a mouse": "The grandiloquence of his words is accompanied by rickets in the budgets." In this sense, she has pointed out that "there is not a single new idea nor any program or action already planned in the previous budgets."

Likewise, he has accused Camarero of "leaving the city councils hanging," as he has pointed out that "for agreements with the councils he only foresees 12 million euros" when they already have "more than 50 million euros committed." For this reason, he has described the accounts as "fictitious."

On behalf of Compromís, Nathalie Torres has described as "illusory" the income from the accounts that Camarero has presented because they have included 1,340 million that they expect to receive from the central government in "concepts that the state has not recognized." In this sense, she has pointed out that the budgets are "basal": "Without the necessary vigor to maintain quality public social services."

Likewise, the head of Equality has criticized the "lack of transparency" in the department and has predicted that credit extensions will be necessary to pay the Renda Valenciana d'Inclusió. He has also regretted the "entire amendment" to the Convivint Plan and has reproached it for the "cut in diversity" which, he assures, "relates to the distrust in LGTBI entities"; and budget reductions for programs related to the Roma people.

During the reply, Camarero has reproached PSPV and Compromís for "not realizing that they are in the opposition" and has withdrawn the "old, outdated and clichéd speeches" that he considers they have had to make when they "realized" that that "social spending has increased" in these budgets.

Regarding the city councils, he stated: "All commitments will be paid, without lies, without traps and without false expectations. Let's not say to a mayor that he is going to have five centers, but let's say which center they will have."
