Bill Gates puts his 'small' house in the Seattle area up for sale

Modest for the size of a fortune like that of Bill Gates – magnate at the top for decades and the richest man in the world before the emergence of Jezz Bezos and Elon Musk – we could describe the house that he has put up for sale in Medina, a tiny and exclusive residential area of Seattle (Washington, USA), where, precisely, the master of Amazon owns one of his mansions. Gates' one has gone on the market for 4.6 million euros.

The house, of 230 m2, consists of four bedrooms and three bathrooms; The master bedroom has a private wing and luxury bathroom. Otherwise, underfloor heating, double fireplace, home automation everywhere - of course -, sliding glass doors and wooden paneling. The house faces east to view the mountain range that surrounds Seattle from the left and offers 180º views of Lake Washington. Outside we find a Zen garden and private access to the beach.

In that same place, Medina, is the crown jewel of Bill Gates' real estate portfolio, so much so that he called it Xanadú 2.0, in memory of the immortal film Citizen Kane: a huge 6,130 m2 mansion that he bought in 1998 for about 50 million euros at the current exchange rate to incorporate an adjacent property years later and whose value is estimated today at close to 140 million. It is the largest home in Washington state.
