Benzema and Militao, down to Mallorca

The league match against Valencia increased the number of injured at Real Madrid. Karim Benzema and Éder Militão got the worst of it. Both will undergo an MRI tomorrow Saturday and both are ruled out for Sunday's league match in Mallorca.

Within the evil for Madrid, the news is somewhat less negative than expected. Although there is still no medical report according to club sources, both players will travel to Morocco next week to play the Club World Cup. It is not clear that they can play in the semifinal on Wednesday against Al Ahly or the Seattle Sounders (they play their quarterfinal tomorrow), but they could be in the final on Saturday if the white team access it.

The sensations are much worse with Militão, who suffered a terrible clash with Lino and had to be taken off the pitch still in the first half. The Brazilian central defender left the pitch limping and it was feared that he had a small tear in his right adductor muscle.

In the case of the Frenchman, Benzema hurt 15 minutes into the second half. Near the center circle, the Frenchman crouched down and put his hands on his knee. He asked for the change and went directly to the locker room. The striker has already missed much of the early part of the season with an injury he picked up in Glasgow in September.

Madrid also informs that Kroos and Ceballos ended the game with different injuries and blows, but that everything indicates that they will be able to travel to Mallorca. The Sevillian has started three games and is one of the fittest footballers on the team. The one who does seem that he could also return to the eleven in Palma is David Alaba, already recovered from his injury.

Madrid has two other injured: Ferland Mendy, long-term, who will wait a couple of months to return and Lucas Vázquez. The Galician is going a little slower than expected and is still training alone. The club believes that its participation in the World Cup is becoming more and more complicated.
