Barça will play the final of the Queen's Cup in La Romareda

The final of the 2024 Queen's Cup will be played in La Romareda (Zaragoza). The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has officially announced the designation of the venue for the match between FC Barcelona and Real Sociedad on May 18 at 7 p.m.

In this edition, the Copa de la Reina recovers the classic final format, having played the semi-finals over two legs with the grand final on a different date and moving away from the final four format that had prevailed in recent years.

The Romareda has hosted two Queen's Cup finals in its entire history, the last in 2009 when Espanyol beat Zaragoza. A tournament that in recent years had been subscribed to by the Community of Madrid, ten of the last twenty finals having been played in this territory, five in Las Rozas. Last year it was played in Leganés, the same as in 2021 and the following year in Alcorcón.

FC Barcelona, with nine titles under its belt, is the most successful club in the tournament, although last year it was unable to compete for the trophy after being eliminated in the previous rounds due to Geyse's improper alignment against Osasuna. For its part, Real Sociedad only has one title under its belt, it was in 2019, in its first Cup final, where it won emphatically (4-0) over Rayo Vallecano.
