Barça puts the League within reach before traveling to London for the Champions League

Nothing stops Barça women from their path to the fifth consecutive league. Not even the Champions League and the possibility of playing in a new European final was enough of a distraction to postpone their dominance. The Blaugrana did not relax even three days before the key match in London on Saturday. They added a new victory and on the next day, May 1, they could already be champions, provided that Real Madrid loses precisely against Levante Las Planas, Barça's victim this Wednesday.

The Barcelona fans were not softened by having Melanie Serrano in front of them either. The Sevillian defender, the player who has played the most games for Barça (517), signed for Levante Las Planas, which is fighting to avoid relegation, after having retired. But Barcelona did not stop. Unit B was enough to win at the Municipal de Les Planes.

Giráldez made eleven changes. He did not start any of the starts in the first leg against Chelsea. But the score did not suffer. The final result was 2-4. The depth of the Blaugrana's wardrobe is so overwhelming that he had no mercy. Before attempting the European comeback, there was a comeback in Sant Joan Despí.

Levante Las Planas has not won since November and has barely gotten one point out of the last 18 possible. But he put the leader in trouble in the first half hour of the game. Twice the locals went ahead, in two quick plays by Allegra (10) and Irina (19), and Claudia Pina equalized twice on the fast track (12 and 30).

The Montcada soccer player did not have a single minute in the first leg of the semifinals, something that was surprising. And Pina vindicated himself with two important goals full of opportunism. Arrival and sense of smell were always his best weapons and he showed it with two good shots in the heart of the area to beat Cáceres.

Before the break, Marta Torrejón, after a corner, and Bruna Vilamala, with a header, after a good cross from the young Lucía Corrales, made it 2-4. With a two-goal lead, Barça thought even more about saving efforts heading into Stamford Bridge. After the restart Alexia Putellas and Bronze did not take the field. And at game time the coach also dispensed with Pina and Vicky. In London you may need them to overcome the 0-1 draw at Montjuïc.
