Banc Sabadell and the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899 have reached an agreement for the bank to continue as the main sponsor of the Barcelona Open Trofeo Conde de Godó for three more years, until 2025.

This sponsorship agreement, the extension of which both entities announced this Wednesday, is the longest in the history of the tournament, since Banc Sabadell will be Godó's main sponsor for at least 17 years.

The 70th anniversary edition of this ATP 500 will be held, from April 15 to 23, 2023, on the courts of the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona and will present novelties in its image, with the incorporation of commemorative elements of this event.

Banc Sabadell began its commitment to the tournament in 2008, when it was renamed Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell. Since then, the Conde de Godó Trophy has continued to consolidate itself as an event of the highest sporting relevance and as a great platform for the international projection of the city of Barcelona.

For the RCTB-1899, in the words of its president, Jordi Cambra, expanding the alliance with Banc Sabadell is "great news for the tournament", because it will allow it to "continue with the line of growth" that the open has had in the last decades.

"After more than 14 years of relationship, both the bank and the tournament have integrated a work philosophy that goes in the same direction and that is key to keeping us in the elite of clay tournaments," Cambra stressed.

Josep Oliu, president of Banc Sabadell, has highlighted that the entity he directs has always felt identified "with the values of tennis" and that for this reason they have opted to renew their confidence in Godó "extending their sponsorship for three more years".

In this sense, Oliu believes that the event is "a tournament of national and international projection that has become a meeting point with Catalan society, clients and collaborators", therefore it adds value to the brand image that it has the bank entity.

For his part, Xavier Pujol, CEO of the tournament, welcomed the extension of the agreement, "which represents a fundamental boost to continue positioning the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell as one of the most prestigious on the circuit".
