Arrested in Valladolid for sexual cyberdeception of a 13-year-old girl

The National Police has arrested a 16-year-old boy in Valladolid for sexual cyber-deception of a 13-year-old girl from the same city, of whom he spread nude images of her among friends and acquaintances at the institute, which he had obtained under threats, after previously gaining your trust in a social network.

In a statement, the National Police explained this Sunday that operation "Arcturus" began after the complaint filed by the mother, accompanied by the minor, at the Delicias police station in Valladolid. Her mother reported that, after contacting the minor with a user of a well-known social network and after gaining her trust, she sent him a photograph in which she appeared in her underwear.

Later, the harasser threatened to release said photograph if she did not send him naked images, to which the victim finally agreed for fear that he would carry out his threats, sending her several completely naked photos of her genitals.

The events continued for two months, until the girl stopped sending him photographs and, after blocking the harasser, he carried out his threats by making public intimate images of the minor, uploading them to different social networks, which achieved wide distribution among friends, acquaintances and classmates from his high school.

This caused a great state of anxiety in the victim, who reported what happened to both the head of studies at her educational center and her mother. The Cybercrime Group proceeded to verify the reported facts and observed that the profile used by the author was completely anonymous, without any personal data that could lead to his identification, which is why it initiated the corresponding investigation for a crime of "child grooming." or pedophile cyberdeception, which was made difficult by being an anonymous profile and which had stopped having activity.

After almost a year of inquiries and numerous investigations, it was possible to identify the perpetrator of the events, a 16-year-old boy who also lived in Valladolid, who was arrested on April 10 after the opportune operation around his home.

In addition, the mobile phone of which he was a user was intercepted, in which evidence of his involvement in the events was found, which was corroborated by himself in his statement in the presence of the lawyer who assisted him and one of his parents, when he acknowledged being the author of the profile investigated and of the conversations held with the girl, according to police sources.

The National Police has stressed the convenience of parents or legal guardians supervising devices with Internet access used by minors, not only to prevent them from being victims of online harassment but also to prevent them from being perpetrators. of crimes.
