Agents of the National Police have arrested a 30-year-old man in a town in the Valencian region of l'Horta as the alleged perpetrator of three crimes of sexual assault on minors for touching three girls, and two other crimes of exhibitionism and sexual provocation for showing pornographic content, inciting sexual practices and masturbating in front of two children.
The investigation began after the agents learned that two sisters, one of them a minor, could have been sexually assaulted by a male family friend. The man, explains the Superior Headquarters in a statement, would have begun to assault the oldest of them when he was also a minor and the victim was barely 5 years old, subjecting her to touching her for more than ten years.
Likewise, they found out that the other sister, currently a minor, had also suffered this type of behavior on several occasions, taking advantage of the fact that the man picked up the girl from school when her mother worked, staying with her alone at home.
Within the framework of the investigation, the agents learned of another sexual assault committed by the person being investigated on another minor, as well as another act of a sexual nature that occurred with two young people when they were also minors, where apparently the man would have shown them pornographic content inciting them to engage in sexual practices while masturbating.
The now arrested man took advantage of his status as a prominent member of a religious association in the capital of Turia to gain the trust of the minors and used the friendship that existed between his family and that of the latter to approach them without raising suspicions.
Likewise, thanks to the difference in age with the victims and their immaturity due to their young age, the majority between 5 and 8 years old, on the one hand, little resistance was guaranteed, and on the other hand, anonymity, since it convinced them not to tell their parents anything about what happened, making them believe that it was a secret game between them.
The attacks lasted for several years and it is not ruled out that there may be more victims. Given these facts, the man has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of three crimes of sexual assault on minors as well as two other crimes of exhibitionism and sexual provocation also against minors. The arrested man, of Paraguayan origin, with a police record, has gone to court.
