Arrested a gang that stole merchandise from delivery vehicles in Parla

Agents from the Arganda del Rey Investigation Area have dismantled, within the framework of 'Operation Cladis', a criminal organization dedicated to theft inside delivery vehicles that were parked in the capital and in Arganda del Rey, reported this Tuesday the Madrid Command in a press release.

The investigation began last February, when there was a robbery with force in a vehicle that was parked on a public road in Arganda del Rey, and one of the windows was broken to steal from inside.

The progress of the investigation made it possible to identify and relate two people who participated in this event with several thefts of different products that were inside delivery vehicles that occurred in Madrid and Parla, discovering the agents a perfectly organized criminal group with a clear division of functions.

The criminal network used rental vehicles to search for and follow up on their victims, they detected a food or drink delivery vehicle, they began their follow-up with a frequency inhibitor to access it and steal when the driver was preparing to deliver the merchandise in the establishments.

Once the authors had the stolen products in their possession, they passed them on to a network of receivers that were dedicated to the hospitality sector, to give them out at their establishment in Parla.

To date, their participation in ten robberies of delivery vehicles when they were parked in Arganda del Rey, Madrid and Parla has been confirmed. Likewise, in the home searches carried out, the agents found indications that directly relate them to the robbery in a store and in a tobacconist, both in the province of Zamora.

The detainees are six men and one woman of Spanish and North African origin, between the ages of 26 and 49, residents of Parla, Madrid and Torrejón de la Calzada with a police record for crimes related to property, and those who for these facts are charged with a crime of belonging to a criminal group, ten crimes of robbery with force inside a vehicle and nine crimes of reception.
