Ancelotti, in his analysis, commented that "we played a good game and honestly we deserved to win: it was won. Then I have the doubt about this goal that was disallowed. We tried everything at the end, we took risks and lost a bit of balanced and they scored. The game was very good. We leave with the confidence that we can finish the season well".
Many of the questions in the press room were about Asensio's disallowed goal. Ancelotti repeated the same thing several times: "Do you think it was offside? If it was, you have to accept it. But I'm left with the doubt. Surely there is nothing. We have the right to have that doubt. They were very clear," he said.
Ancelotti believes that the changes were well made: "It's a bit strange to change five players in the 60th minute, isn't it? They were changed when they had to be changed and they were very good and gave us a lot of momentum," he said.
The coach insisted that we have to fight in the League until the end: "We are going to fight until the end, there is a disadvantage. Emotionally we are sad, but we are also doing well because the team has played well. We are going to fight for all competitions, to the maximum. The only concern is to try to play like this. If we play like this, we will win something, for sure".
Ancelotti pointed out that the disadvantage with Barcelona was due to the fact that "throughout the season they have had more continuity and that we did badly in January."
Lastly, the Italian coach praised Vinícius's game: "Taking into account the quality of Araujo, I think Vinícius played a great game. He won duels. As always, he played a top game", he stated.
