An eight-year-old minor died this Saturday after the car he was traveling in overturned on the A-92, at kilometer 224, near the town of Cijuela (Granada). The 112 Andalusia Emergency service, attached to the Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification of the Government of Andalusia, has received fifty incidents in the province of Granada due to rain and storms.

The notices managed at the 112 Coordination Center have been due to partial flooding of homes, basements, basements, garages, commercial premises and the accumulation of ponds of water, especially in the municipality of Cijuela. The Civil Guard has reported that there are almost a hundred affected homes in this town, as detailed in a statement by this service.

The calls to 112 caused by the damage from the storm have occurred from 4:30 p.m. and have also caused the mobilization of Local Police and Firefighters to drain water and provide assistance in the municipalities of Valderrubio, Pinos Bridge, Láchar, Moraleda de Zafayona, Fuente Vaqueros and Píñar.

In Valderrubio, a landslide at the entrance to the town has forced the GR-3425 road to be closed, while in Láchar the rain has also affected its accesses, affecting a dozen properties, and in Pinos Puente the overflow of a stream has cut off access to the Trasmulas district.
