The National Police are searching for a group of hooded men who are allegedly involved in the stabbing in the early hours of this Wednesday of an 18-year-old young man in the Madrid district of Arganzuela and it is not ruled out that they may be related to youth gangs.
The attack with a knife took place on Miguel Arredondo Street in Madrid when the young man was approached by a group of people with their faces covered, who stabbed him several times, police sources told Efe.
The agents still do not know the causes of the attack and do not rule out any hypothesis, including the possibility that the events have to do with settling of accounts or confrontations related to members of youth gangs.
As of early Wednesday morning, no arrests had yet been made and efforts to identify and search for those allegedly involved continued.
Upon arriving at the scene of the event after receiving a warning call, the Samur-Civil Protection paramedics found the young man with several wounds caused by a knife in the abdomen, chest and back.
After stabilizing him, he was transferred with a serious prognosis to the 12 de Octubre hospital in Madrid.
