The Minister of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Nuria Montes, defended this Saturday at the I 'Terra de Festes' Congress the potential that Valencian "festive traditions" have to make the Community "a unique place full of experiences." to offer to visitors". The Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces held the event this Saturday in Benidorm, where "experiences, reflections and, above all, love for the festivities were shared."

"These meetings are important to further demonstrate the richness of traditions and to launch a collaboration network that helps everyone preserve and enhance what identifies us as a people," Montes stressed, according to the Generalitat in a statement.

The Minister of Innovation has stressed that the 'Terra de Festes' brand is "a legacy that commits to promoting, protecting and disseminating the rich cultural heritage." "Celebrating the festivities is not only a fun moment, it is also a way to value our customs and recognize those who make an effort throughout the year to keep traditions alive," she said.

The Valencian Community has a total of 14 festivals of international tourist interest, "authentic emblems" of the destination that already enjoy "recognition in distant markets," highlights the autonomous Administration. There are 39 festivals of national tourist interest, 80 of regional tourist interest, 116 provincial and 206 local, which adds up to more than 450 proposals that make up the catalog of "festive and unique" offerings.

"In a world where globalization threatens to blur singularities and where tourists are increasingly demanding, festivities become elements that provide authenticity, uniqueness and excellence. Without a doubt, they make the destination more competitive," stressed Montes, who added that the festivals are "an indisputable economic, social and cultural engine."
