Alejandra Jacinto will be Sumar's housing spokesperson

The Sumar party, led by Vice President Yolanda Díaz, has incorporated the leader of Podemos Alejandra Jacinto into its team as housing spokesperson, who on May 28 was a candidate for the purple formation in the autonomous elections for the Community of Madrid, without achieving representation, and that for the general elections on July 23 will occupy position number 15 for Madrid.

This was announced by Sumar this Monday on Twitter, where he specified that he will be the spokesperson for housing. "No one better than her to defend this right. We are going to change the housing paradigm in Spain so that people have a decent home without spending all their salary to pay for it," she has valued.

Jacinto, who before entering politics worked as a lawyer and activist for the Right to Housing in the Platform for People Affected by Mortgages (PAH), was signed by Pablo Iglesias for his candidacy for the Madrid regional elections in May 2021. In On that occasion, Jacinto ran for a prominent position as an independent candidate.

The signing of Jacinto, who is part of its executive as head of housing, occurs one day after the announcement of the Secretary of State for Social Rights and leader of Podemos, Nacho Álvarez, as spokesman for the economic area of ​​the team of the Sumar's campaign for the July 23 elections.

Sumar has also captured some profiles associated with the purple party for his campaign team, such as the MEP and head of United Podemos lists in the last community elections of 2019, María Eugenia Rodríguez Palop, as coordinator of the electoral program, as well as other positions that had links with Podemos, such as the former leader of the formation Pablo Bustinduy.

On the other hand, in its lists, Sumar has placed the national co-spokesperson of Podemos Isa Serra in position eight on the Madrid list, the minister Ione Belarra remains at number five for Madrid, and it is definitively confirmed that they will not be in the lists neither the minister Irene Montero, nor the spokesman for United We Can, Pablo Echenique.

In addition, Yolanda Díaz rescues the former deputy of Unidas Podemos and founder of the Drago Project, Alberto Rodríguez, as number one on the Santa Cruz de Tenerife list, while the Barcelona list closes, in this order, the Minister of Universities, Joan Subirats ; the one who was president of the United We Can group in Congress, Jaume Asens, and the former mayor Ada Colau.

Sumar also rescues the secretary of the United We Can group in Congress, Txema Guijarro, very close to Yolanda Díaz, who heads the list for Alicante, and the former mayor Joan Ribó occupies position number 16 for Valencia.

In addition, it has recovered the former general secretary of Podemos Euskadi Lander Martínez for the electoral lists for Vizcaya, who resigned from his position in 2020 and in his day was considered close to the 'errejonista' sector.
