Actor F. Murray Abraham ('The White Lotus') is fired from a series for sexual misconduct

Veteran actor F. Murray Abraham, known to younger audiences for his recent critical acclaim in The White Lotus, was dropped from the AppleTV series Mythic Quest: Feast for Crows a year ago ahead of its third season, but has since He did not know the reason for his departure.

As reported by Rolling Stone magazine, the decision to do without the Oscar-winning actor was taken as a penalty for inappropriate sexual conduct, something they could not tolerate in the project.

According to different reports, the series' showrunners decided to dispense with the 83-year-old actor's presence after receiving two complaints about Abraham's misbehavior alleging sexual misconduct on set.

The interpreter's departure from the project was announced last April 2022 without any explanation, something that caught the attention of fans of the Oscar winner for his role in Amadeus. Production studio Lionsgate confirmed the news, but gave no details: "Beyond that, we do not comment further on staff-related matters." For his part, the actor also remained silent.

Abraham joined the original Apple TV fiction during its first batch of episodes, which aired in 2020. During this season, the established actor shared filming with other stars such as David Hornsby, Ashly Burch, McElhenney, Danny Pudi, Naomi Ekperigin, Charlotte Nicdao, Imani Hakim, and Jessie Ennis, among others.

After the scandalous departure of the actor, Mythic Quest incorporated into its plot the departure of his character during the first episodes of the third season of the program, chapters that premiered last November.

As Rolling Stone magazine reports, at least two incidents of inappropriate behavior by Murray Abraham were reported. The first episode ended with a serious warning to the American actor and a formal request that he stay away from some of the Mythic Quest actresses, according to sources close to the production of the project.

Instead, once a second episode happened, series creator Rob Mcelhenney decided to fire Abraham and end his work on filming. The director did not want to risk that any of his actresses or part of the cast could suffer any type of mishap, since they had already called the actor's attention for his lack of professionalism and had warned him that he was not behaving like he should.
