Abarth has prepared a creation based on the electric Fiat 600e and it has become the most powerful car ever manufactured by the scorpion firm. Equipped with 240 HP, the New Abarth 600e Scorpionissima will be launched on the market in a limited edition of 1,949 units, a figure that refers to the year the Italian brand was founded.
The company has not provided data on the vehicle's performance or its autonomy. We do know that it has a mechanical limited slip differential that guarantees excellent driving stability, better maneuverability and traction.
This equipment, combined with high-performance tires - they have been developed jointly with Hankook, supplier for Formula E - ensure maximum grip and dynamism. Thanks to the softer compound tread in the outer and central area, they provide extra grip when cornering and improved autonomy, while the polyurethane insert guarantees acoustic insulation (-20% perceived noise level).
At first glance it can be distinguished from the Fiat model by its sporty specifications. For example, it rides on large 20-inch alloy wheels that house a high-performance braking system. Likewise, the rear part has a huge aerodynamic spoiler designed to improve the car's performance. And that's without taking into account the exclusive body color: an indiscreet Hypnotic Purple, which will attract attention wherever it goes.
Inside, high-comfort seats with racing ergonomics contribute to a comfortable ride even on the "most extreme trips." Composed of 4 different foams for optimized support in each area of the body, they have an enveloping shape to contain corners and accentuate lateral support. According to the company, the higher density foam guarantees great durability.
The Abarth 600e is a new demonstration of how the ordinary can become extraordinary. The brand elevates the characteristics of the Fiat 600e to a higher level of sportiness, which develops a power of 156 horsepower, has a 50.8 kWh battery and can travel up to 409 kilometers on a charge.
The scorpion firm is carrying out the final tests of the electric car, which is making its public debut for the first time in Milan, where the filming of its new advertising spot is scheduled these days.
This car is not the first electric car in the range. The brand has already launched the Abarth 500e Scorpionissima, that is, the sportier and spicier version of the Fiat 500e. In this case, the power was raised to 155 HP, offering a maximum range of 266 kilometers.
