The Civil Guard is looking for a man of British nationality for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend in the Malaga town of Mijas, who was thrown from a moving car after being injured in the thigh.

Investigators are trying to determine if the attacker threw her out of the vehicle or it was she who jumped to escape from it, according to Diario Sur this Friday.

The events occurred this week after the couple had been at a beach club in the Malaga town of Mijas and, when they got into the vehicle, they began to argue, according to the local newspaper.

The investigation reveals that during the discussion, the alleged assailant stabbed her in the thigh and she was thrown from the car.

The man fled in a large-capacity vehicle, according to the aforementioned newspaper, but he has already been identified and could be a 35-year-old British citizen with a long history of violence in the United Kingdom.

The victim was evacuated to the Costa del Sol Hospital, where in addition to the stab wound, he also had injuries from the fall of the moving vehicle.

The young woman has already been discharged from the hospital, according to health sources.
