Several curious people have seen a whale swimming in the bay of Pals (Baix Empordà) this Monday around half past one. In a video posted on social networks you can see the cetacean jumping over the water with the Illes Medes in the background.
Taking advantage of this finding, the entity Salvem la Platja de Pals has tweeted the video asking the State to expand the Marine Protected Area of the Mediterranean Cetacean Migration Corridor.
The Spanish government protected this area that exists between Alicante and Girona because it considered it an area of high ecological value to guarantee the continuity of cetaceans in the Western Mediterranean.
